Baltic Photonics participated in the Latvian business delegation visit to Sweden

Baltic Photonics participated in the official Latvian business delegation visit to Sweden organised by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA), focused on developing new cooperation projects in the fields of technology, defence industry, digital infrastructure and green transformation.

The visit included a business forum, individual company meetings, investor events and discussions with Swedish companies, investors and institutional partners in Stockholm and Malmö. The Latvian delegation included companies and organisations representing the defence, technology, energy, industrial, financial and engineering sectors.

Particular attention during the visit was given to:

  • development of defence technologies and digital infrastructure;
  • international cooperation opportunities within the high-technology sector;
  • integration of innovation and research into industrial development;
  • development of sustainable and high value-added industries across the Northern European region.

The Latvia-Sweden business forum in Stockholm brought together representatives of companies, investment organisations and the public sector from both countries, highlighting the importance of economic cooperation, technology development and innovation within the broader context of European competitiveness and security.

The discussions also emphasised the growing importance of cooperation between Baltic and Nordic companies in the fields of defence technologies, digitalisation and innovation, reflecting broader European priorities related to technological resilience and security.

The programme included meetings with Swedish companies, investors and institutions, as well as discussions on innovation development, investment environment and new cooperation initiatives between Latvian and Swedish companies.

Sweden remains one of Latvia’s most significant economic partners and the largest foreign investor in the Latvian economy. The growing cooperation between companies from both countries within the technology and defence sectors continues to play an increasingly important role in regional competitiveness and innovation development.
