Baltic Photonics Participates in Latvian Innovation Networking Event in Brussels

Baltic Photonics and SAPRA jointly represented Latvia’s technology sector at the innovation event in Brussels, where the focus was on future funding opportunities, photonics solutions, and defense innovations.

Baltic Photonics, representing Latvia’s photonics and advanced technology sector, took part in a Latvian innovation networking event in Brussels, alongside representatives of partner organization SAPRA, including Chairman of the Board Edgars Zandmanis and Head of Communication Department Ani Andronikashvili.

The event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia to the Kingdom of Belgium, in cooperation with the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA), the Latvian Association in Belgium, and the #esiLV movement. Its aim was to promote exchange between Latvian start-ups, innovators, and key stakeholders from the European innovation ecosystem.

Attendees received insights into funding opportunities provided by the European Innovation Council (EIC) and the EU Innovation Fund, along with practical guidance on how to participate in the EU Defence Innovation Scheme (EUDIS) under the European Defence Fund (EDF).

Baltic Photonics actively contributed to discussions on how photonics and high-precision optical technologies can support the evolving priorities of European innovation and security. The informal format of the event encouraged meaningful networking, exchange of ideas, and the identification of future cooperation opportunities with partners from across Europe.

Participation in this event reflects Baltic Photonics’ ongoing commitment to building international partnerships and developing forward-looking, technologically sustainable solutions that play a vital role in Europe’s innovation and defense future.
