Baltic Photonics Supports EUDIS Defence Hackathon 2025 in Latvia

Baltic Photonics is proud to support the EUDIS Defence Hackathon 2025, taking place from May 9 to 11 at the Rezekne Academy of Technologies and online. This event is one of eight strategic defence innovation hackathons held across Europe, bringing together students, researchers, and startups to co-create next-generation defence technologies.

Participants are working on key challenges such as innovative tactical surveillance systems, protective gear adapted to frontline conditions, and AI-powered solutions for emergency medical support.

As a key player in Latvia’s photonics sector, Baltic Photonics promotes interdisciplinary collaboration between research, industry, and defence. Our involvement in this initiative reflects our belief that photonics plays a vital role in shaping the future of European security and technology.
